Hotel Van Zandt's Debut Party

This past weekend, High Beam Events produced an Austin-centric ‘Debut Party’ for the majestic Hotel Van Zandt. The event was hosted to introduce and celebrate the grand opening of Austin’s newest boutique hotel, flaunting its authentic culture. Inspired by Austin-centric music and food, the party was a perfect highlight of the hotel’s character.

The debut intended to give guests a unique and authentic Austin experience – a truly sophisticated kind of adventure. Collaborating Austinites of all types, the guest list included folks from the event and hospitality industry, family and friends tied to the Van Zandt’s investors and of course the media.

Beginning with a cocktail hour accompanied by the finest array of charcuterie, guests mingled over artfully designed cocktails and black ties alike. In-house catering by Geraldine’s, the hotel’s locally inspired classic cuisine, wooed the guests with an impressive meat carving station, seafood platter displayed on a beautiful ice sculpture and passed hors d’oeuvres all with a unique twist to mirror the city.

Aside from a delicious menu, the event was a perfect combination of Austin’s charm and funk. We brought in vintage furniture from Birch and Brass, creating an eclectic assortment of lounge seating for a polished atmosphere. Florals from Posey spruced the evening with color and a stage backdrop by Strong Events truly brought the Austin skyline to life.

The night rocked away with a live performance by Austin’s very own Shakey Graves before transitioning to an after party of intimate acoustics by Jack Ingram and Bruce Robison.

Located on Rainey Street in the heart of the Historic District, Hotel Van Zandt is a prime location to experience all of Austin’s adventure. In addition to its laid-back, modern and earthy ambiance, the Van Zandt captures the wild ride for Austin tourists. That’s if they can keep up with the locals on staycation.
