It’s the first full week of May and that means summer is around the corner. In efforts to help you plan your summer calendar, here are our Top 10 Summer Picks!

W.E.S.T – West Austin Studio Tour – May 9th – 10th & 16th - 17th

Big Medium started the best Art Studio Tour, first on the East side and now on the West side. This is a great event to get out—maybe on your bike—and enjoy the spring weather, meet the artists in their own spaces and get to know what makes Austin (beautifully) weird. Renegade Craft Fair – May 16th & 17th at Fair Market

If handmade goods are what you search for in every shopping experience, the Renegade Craft Fair should be first on your list of “things to do.” Enjoy shopping, free workshops with your favorite makers, DJs from Waterloo Records and—of course—photo booth fun all at the beautiful Fair Market.

Blues on the Green – starts May 27th at Zilker Park

If filling your summer with music is more your speed, don’t miss the Blues on the Green Summer Concert Series. The Austin favorite kicks off on May 27th with a “Special Guest” you probably don’t want to miss. Music starts at 8pm but we suggest making it down earlier to get a good spot for your picnic blanket! Austin Symphony presents Concerts in the Park – starts May 31st at the Hartman Concert Park at The Long Center

Free Press Summer Fest – June 6th-7th at Eleanor Tinsley Park in Houston, TX

X-Games – June 4th-7th at Circuit of The Americas

Blanco Lavender Festival – June 12th-14th in Blanco, TX

Keep Austin Weird Fest & 5K – June 27th on the lawn at The Long Center

Bat Fest - August 22nd on the Congress Ave Bridge

If you are one of those locals who forget to get out and enjoy your city, don’t forget about this one! The bats are a major landmark in Austin; we throw an entire festival for them! 38th Annual Austin Symphony HEB July 4th Concert and Fireworks at Circuit of The Americas

This is the Austin way to see fireworks! The annual concert is something to look forward to every year with the Symphony as the soundtrack to the fireworks across the sky! Get out to COTA early for old-fashioned activities starting at 4pm; orchestra to perform at 8:30! This event is free and open to the public.
